The NCMBC Business Development Teams (BDT) support businesses in every industry across all 100 counties in North Carolina. Located at twelve community colleges statewide, the BDT connects businesses with contract opportunities and provides one-on-one assistance to help clients win federal contracts. Since 2005, the NCMBC has helped capable businesses identify, compete for, win and execute over 2,013 contracts, worth $3.8 to $14.1 billion (as of December 31, 2014). Each awarded contract brings federal revenues to North Carolina, expands the State’s economy and tax base and grow jobs. Businesses who won these contracts employed as many as 126,600 North Carolinians to execute these contracts, which netted $267 million in State corporate income tax alone.
